Based on the technology of a laser detector the engineering office ARGOS Messtechnik
developed an instrument for detecting breathing air. Industrial Design is already involved in time for arranging the components inside.
The footprint of the diagnostic device has to be as small as possible. This demands an optimised optical path without impairing measurement accuracy. Optimised component arrangement is an important precondition for designing an userfriendly Hardware. The design concept considers general conditions of serial manufacturing processes as well as the compliance with guidelines for medical devices.
The instrument was developed in line with risk class 2a. Because of the required quantity the decision for manufacturing is injection molding. The engineering considers ease of mount and accessibility for maintenance.
Additionally a product and image brochure was designed.
